Martha’s Vineyard fishing charters, by harbor

Every Martha's Vineyard fishing charter we know of, by harbor, with the prices they publish (checked October 2, 2026) and the six-guest rule.

Before you call

The six-guest rule

Almost every boat here is uninspected, and an uninspected boat may carry six paying passengers at most: that is federal law (46 U.S.C. 2101), not the captain’s choice. Crew do not count. A boat the Coast Guard has inspected may carry what its Certificate of Inspection allows, and those are marked “USCG inspected” below.

If you fish on your own and you are 16 or older you need a Massachusetts saltwater fishing permit ($10; free from 60, but still required). On a permitted charter or party boat you do not need your own. Striped bass: one fish a day, 28 to under 31 inches. Rules checked October 2, 2026; the fishing guide has the rest.

What it costs

Prices, as the operators publish them

Read off each operator’s own site on October 2, 2026. These are prices for the whole boat unless it says “a person”. Several captains publish no rates at all; that is not a sign of anything, ask them.
